The centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services CMS describes hospice care as “Hospice is a comprehensive, holistic program of care and support for terminally ill patients and their families. Hospice care changes the focus to comfort care (palliative care) for pain relief and symptom management instead of care to cure the patient’s illness.”

Who Pays for Hospice?

Craft Hospice partners with Medicare and Colorado Medicaid to provide exceptional care without any out of pocket expense. Craft Hospice works directly with the State of Colorado to coordinate benefits for Medicaid Hospice care and is also certified to bill for Medicare hospice services as well. Private pay options are also available for those who do not Medicare or Medicaid eligible.

CHAP Accreditation demonstrates that Craft Hospice meets the industry’s highest nationally recognized standards. The rigorous evaluation by CHAP focuses on structure and function, quality of services and products, human and financial resources and long-term viability.
